100% positive experience. Counter staff was excellent, the equipment guys were super friendly and service-oriented. Paid $60 for a 24-hour 2-person kayak rental. Did both directions up and down the river from their location and enjoy both for different reasons. Took a lunch break at the Blue Dolphin restaurant (next door) in between.
We usually rent kayaks here but standup paddleboards and canoes are also available. The Hanalei River is usually pretty calm; can go about 2 miles upstream or 1 mile out into the bay.

Rented stand up paddle boards for half a day for $30! Great price and friendly service! Boarded up the Hanalei River towards the bridge, the river wasn't crowded at all. We had a lot of fun!
We had such an awesome experience exploring the Hanalei river as we kayaked up and down the river to the open ocean and the views of Hanalei bay with the mountains in the background the best day ever.
